University of Leeds Enters Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame
The University of Leeds was selected as the first university in Europe to win a prestigious international award for using a process devised by academics from Harvard Business School. The University was recognized with a place in the Palladium's Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame for Executing Strategy for using the scorecard to achieve breakthrough results (to help focus its work on strategic aims, improved communications, and monitor performance). Maury Cotter Receives the Third NCCI Brent D. Ruben Award
Maury Cotter, Director of the Office of Quality Improvement at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and former NCCI President, received the NCCI Brent D. Ruben Award at the 2008 Annual Conference. The Award recognizes Maury's contribution and leadership in advancing excellence in higher education and her role in establishing and leading NCCI. Maury has been instrumental in establishing the Leveraging Excellence Award and is the Leveraging Excellence Program Director.
Rick Wallick, NCCI President, while presenting the Award to Maury, noted that her many accomplishments extend well beyond NCCI. Maury has played a pivotal role in advancing excellence and quality improvement at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (at both operational and strategic planning levels). Click here to read more. |

NCCI's Vision
NCCI's vision is to function as a catalyst for higher education institutions to work collaboratively across institutions to employ effective methods for advancing academic and administrative excellence. To this end NCCI provides resources to its member institutions to help them to explore the concepts of continuous improvement.
