Key Themes

The factors that drive continual improvement in industry are fundamental to the achievement of quality in the academic community. Resistance to change is a basic characteristic of any organization and yet, without change substantial improvement cannot occur. We are all doing "things"; the key is to do the right things in an integrated fashion. The external customer is pivotal to determining the high leveraged initiatives that drive customer satisfaction. People are what make your organization unique. Involving them in an effective manner in the improvement journey provides huge leverage. That allows leadership to delegate, freeing up time for strategic planning. Work is accomplished via processes. Understanding these processes, their relationships and measuring their performance provides the identification of opportunities that enables an organization to excel.
