  1. What is the NCCI Mentoring Program?
    The NCCI Mentoring program matches all interested new members with experienced NCCI mentors who serve as advisors, guides, and friends whose primary function is to help a new NCCI member have a successful first year in the consortium.

  2. What is the goal of the NCCI Mentoring Program?
    The goal of the program is to increase engagement and collaboration among NCCI board members and new members.

  3. Who can be a mentor?
    Mentors are current and former NCCI Board of Director members who have a working knowledge of the organization and its various resources and who have the desire to help new members get adjusted to the consortium and the membership benefits of NCCI.

  4. What is the format of the program?
    The NCCI Mentoring Program is structured to serve new members who voluntarily complete the Mentee Application. They are then matched with peer NCCI mentors.

  5. What kinds of things do mentors and mentees do?
    Although each mentoring relationship is different, there are a variety of activities for mentees and mentors. Some go to lunch together; others visit either the mentor's university or the mentee's university; they can e-mail to collaborate on continuous improvement projects and they can jointly attend NCCI events.

  6. How do I become a mentor or a mentee?
    Simply complete the appropriate form and submit it to NCCI and the mentoring program coordinators will notify you of your appointment.
