The Exchange: Learning Together to Transform Higher Education

The Exchange: Learning Together to Transform Higher Education

The Exchange is an online networking opportunity for NCCI members to share ideas, tools, and best practices relating to the topic of change, innovation, strategy, and/or leadership development.

As a result of participating in these sessions, participants will strengthen relationships with peers, grow their knowledge, and become better equipped to transform higher education institutions as change leaders.

Upcoming Sessions

Giving and Receiving Feedback | March 28, 12:30–1:30 p.m. ET

As human beings, in our daily life, we may be conscious or unconscious about feedback we are giving and receiving.

In this NCCI Exchange session, we will explore how to give and receive feedback any time that the message is due. Whether feedback is formal or informal, and whether it is provided to employees, peers, or someone else, there are ways that we can all prepare to be feedback ready and benefit from it.

Join us for this interactive session where we will offer a framework, inquiry, and tools that will invite you to engage with each other to further reflect and strengthen your feedback skills.

The session will be facilitated by John Fedy, University of Waterloo and Olga Kipnis, Washington University in St. Louis.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the value of receiving and giving feedback
  • Explore the necessary mindset, attitude, and actions to receive and give effective feedback
  • Practice and develop feedback skills
